Disclaimer
Please let us know if your dog has behavioural problems or aggressive tendencies.
AllAbouttheHound reserves the right to refuse to accept your dog for inclusion for grooming if your dog has ever bitten someone or has aggressive tendencies.
If your dog gets hurt or becomes ill, we may visit a veterinarian and all costs will be at your expense (as the dog owner). You (the owner) understand that you are legally responsible if your dog bites or hurts our staff or other members of the public and/or their dog(s).
Your Dog’s Behaviour
AllAbouttheHound reserves the right to refuse to accept your dog for grooming if your dog has ever bitten someone or has exhibited aggressive tendencies. You are obligated to advise AllAbouttheHound if your dog has behavioural problems or aggressive tendencies. In the event of injury or illness, veterinary care may be sought and all costs will be at the owner's expense. You (the owner) understand that you are legally responsible for any bites or injury sustained by AllAbouttheHound staff caused by your dog.
Appointments—Cancellation Policy
AllAbouttheHound kindly asks that you provide a minimum of 48hrs notice if you are unable to make your existing booking for any of the services offered. If prior notification is not given within the specified time frame, you will be charged the full price for the missed appointment. Payment must be received before a new appointment can be made
Running Late
Please let us know as soon as possible! It affects your service provider and other customers. Dogs arriving more than 10 minutes late will be considered a ’NO SHOW’ and the cancellation policy will apply. Payment must be received before a new appointment can be made. Time has been reserved for your dog.
Grooming
Fleas
We take fleas in our salon very seriously, especially the possibility of spreading fleas to other people’s dogs. AllAbouttheHound reserves the right to refuse to groom your dog if it is found to have an excessive flea infestation. If your dog is found to have fleas, your dog will be bathed immediately with a flea shampoo treatment and this cost will be added to the price. This treatment and cost is non-negotiable. If your dog has an excessive flea burden, you will be asked to collect your dog and an additional charge of $50 will be added to the price of the groom to contribute to the cost of fumigating the salon.
Aggressive or difficult to groom dogs
If you have informed AllAbouttheHound that your dog may bite, a muzzle will be used if deemed necessary. An additional charge of $50 will be applied to the groom cost if your dog is particularly problematic or difficult to groom or has aggressive tendencies. AllAbouttheHound reserves the right to refuse grooming services if your dog is significantly aggressive to the point where it is not feasible to continue with respect to the safety of the dog and/or the groomer. If such a scenario should present, you (the owner) will be contacted immediately and asked to collect your dog. You (the owner) understand that you are legally responsible for any bites or injury sustained by the groomer caused by your dog.
If your dog must be sedated before their groom please advise AllAbouttheHound at time of booking and also upon arrival, providing full details of your
vet, time of sedation and dose.
Your Dog’s Health (pre-existing medical conditions)
All clients must disclose to the groomer all pre-existing medical conditions (past & present) and any changes to your dog’s health for future
visits. While the health, safety and welfare of your dog is paramount, grooming can, in some cases, aggravate or upset certain medical conditions,
particularly skin conditions. AllAbouttheHound is not liable for any pre-existing medical conditions or any health issues that come to light during the
grooming process. You will accept all and any risk associated with your dog being groomed while having pre-existing medical conditions as well as
medical problems that may manifest at a later time as a result of the groom. AllAbouttheHound are not qualified veterinarians so it is important to
seek the advice of qualified professionals following any suggestions/recommendations made to you by the groomer.
Interrupting the Groom
For the safety of the dogs in our care, as well as the professional groomer, it is asked that you do not interrupt the groomer while they are grooming. Every effort will be made to insure your dog is groomed as safely as possible, but an excited dog can be at greater risk of injury and the groomer may not be able to continue. After dropping your dog off, please do not step back in the salon until you have received a text message advising your dog is ready to collect. If you have any questions after drop off, please call or text.
Matting
If your dog is matted, it is likely the coat will need to be clipped very close to the skin. By doing this there is a risk your dog may suffer from clipper rash (irritation to the skin). You agree (due to excessive matting and poor condition of the coat) that AllAbouttheHound will not be held liable for any costs or culpability should veterinary care be sought post groom. Additional charges will apply if your dog is excessively matted as per our price guide.
Collection of Dogs—Late Pick Ups
Please be on time to collect your dog. Dogs know when their groom is complete and are eager to get home. Unless arrangements have been made prior, a $25.00 ‘holding’ surcharge will be applied to collections taking longer than 20 minutes after being notified your dog is ready to be collected.
Appointment reminders
Reminders – Mark it in your calendar.
While AllAbouttheHound endeavours to send text or email reminders, this is a courtesy only and cannot be relied upon. You are responsible for setting your own reminders and managing your calendar appointments.
Photographs
Photographs may be taken of your dog while at AllAbouttheHound HQ and these photographs may be posted on the AllAbouttheHound website or other social media used to promote AllAbouttheHound services. If you do not wish your dog’s photograph to be used, please advise staff at time of booking.
Instances we may cancel outdoor activities
Extreme Weather: AllAbouttheHound reserves the right to reschedule or cancel all outdoor dog activities (doggy day care outdoor activities/dog training) in these weather conditions:
- Temperature exceeds 30°C
- Stormy weather (thunder & lightening) or torrential rain
The normal body temperature for a dog falls within the range of 38°C to 39.2°C so exposure to soaring temperatures may cause your dog to suffer from heat stress if subjected to extreme heat for extended periods of time.
